What ever happened to 90-0718? Did it get fixed in enough time to go to the 80th FS with all the rest?

Remember this photo from the mishap on June 15, 2007.

I will agree with you on that point. While the scheme looks cool, the paint looks cheap. It really stands out on the black. We have the same thing with the new tails here at Osan. The red at the top of the tails looks really crappy. But everyone here has the 1 yr TDY mentality so nobody cares. Maybe they should have let Kimhae do the paint jobs. They've turned out the nicest paint jobs I've seen in a while plus they paint the gearwells and that really is a rarity nowadays.

Haha. At least I'm not the only one with the spray can theory. It would have been nice if they we done by Kimhae but that would make too much sense, right?

It would be really nice if they brought back the black radomes just for the aggressors.

Usually, I just sit on the side and read the forums (in fact this is probably my first post), but since I'm flying the blue flanker in 21 Jan pictures posted by Asif, I thought I'd weigh in.

1st, I have to agree, up close the paint application is a little rough, but once you get 10 feet away, (okay 15'), it does the job. They look great in the photos. I'm sure our outstanding Icemen in maintenance will have them looking great for the upcoming Flags.
2nd, someone said they thought the black and white would stand out 10 miles away. I was only a mile or so away and the artic jets were hard as hell to see any where close to the snow background. I'll reserve judgment for later in the year when the snow is gone, but I'm betting, look down she's going to a b**** to see.

Ok so the ALC Commander and the 7th Air Force Commander looked at these jets - and the 18FS Squadron Commander flew the jets back to Eielson .. so who's opinion is it at Eielson that the artic flanker scheme was applied on bad? Remember that all three colors have to be applied on at the same time!

Let's re-do the paint and call it the Mos-Cow Agressor Pattern.

Some new pictures posted on the Eielson AFB website under the heading of Fresh Coat For New Beginning.

SrA. Frank Reardon and A1C. Eric Rickards, 354th Maintenance Squadron sheet metal workers, apply a jungle theme to an F-16 on Februay 14th, 2008 at the corrosion facility. With the swap of the F-16's from Kunsan to Eielson in support of their new mission as Aggressors, each aircraft is applied with a scheme being Arctic Flanker, Blue Flanker or a Lizard Flanker. Meanwhile, we already got USAF photos of Kunsan Vipers repainted with Arctic Flanker and Blue Flanker aggressor schemes. Looks like this unfinished "jungle theme" should be the still unknown Lizard Flanker scheme, mentioned in the USAF photo caption. I look forward for the first picture with a complete Lizard Flanker scheme.
