510th Deployed to RAF Lakenheath

Hi all,

The 510th FS from Aviano is currently on deployment at RAF Lakenheath (together with B-52s at Fairford and the USMC at Marham - we're busy at the moment).

Last week I spent a day at the fence photographing the action, sadly the Have Glass bird didn't make an appearance although I understand it has flown today.

Great photos! I'm a very occasional visitor to the fence at Lakenheath and went there on Tuesday, that place has exploded in popularity, it was packed!

I thought we had picked a dud day on Tuesday with "only" a 9-ship of F-15s going up, but then around 4PM a mix of 25+ F-16s and F-15s had a mass launch over the course of 20 minutes or so, it was an incredible sight and sound.

The smell of Av Gas in the air...............it don't get much better than that.
