Does anyone have the FMS batches for the new F-16CG/DG being delivered at the momenT? MAR quote serials 501-504 for the F-16CG and 536,537 for the F-16DG.

Westrowops,

I think the most of us are looking for the FY allocations of these Greek F-16's, just as we are looking for the Omani and Chilean allocations.

The only thing we know so far is, that this batch is concerning the Peace Xenia III program.

Hope we get some news from other sources as well.

Greetings,
Bjorn

Westrowops,

Can you confirm the serials you mentioned (source)?
Specially the D-models.
First foto's of new Greek F-16's released by LM showed a 501 serial for the C-model and a 601 serial for the D-model.

Greetings,
Bjorn

D-models seem to be reserialled once they were delivered to the Greek military. On the first photo's released by LM they were serialled in the 600 series. After delivery they were serialled 536, 537. This seems more logical as the FY allocations of orders are most of the time sequences (unless large orders). Probably the serials of the Greek F-16's run from 500 to 549, compromising 500 till 533 for the C-models and 534 till 549 for the D-models. FY allocation should be situated somewhere in the '99-'02 timeframe.

Hi,

These are new photo's released of an Edwards based, newly build, Greek F-16D. This one will be the 535 serialled for Greece.

As you can notice on the tail, you can see the 'ED' for Edwards AFB, the 1535 number, which represents the order number. Before that you can see the the little 'AF' designation and beneith that, the Fiscal Year allocation. That is the number I'm interested in. Can anyone confirm this number?

Greets,

Bjorn, those photos look like they were taken at Carswell in Ft Worth, do you know if that is correct? That's definitely not Edwards AFB in the background...

They are from the plant at Ft Worth, but as we all know, the jet is heading to Edwards. Good Catch habu2.
Well, at least I think it is Ft Worth, but since I didn't snap the photos, can't be 100% sure. But it sure looks like Ft Worth.

IMO first photo is on the LM ramp just east of the run stations, looking east towards the NAS JRB side of the base. You can see one of the buildings of downtown Ft Worth just under the tailpipe.

Second photo is either looking SE towards Ridgemar Mall or NE towards Samson Park. Not enough distinctive background to tell.

Back seat is empty and loadout is the same in both shots, good chance they were taken on the same day.

Those ext fuel tanks look bigger than 370s - are those 600s? And EXTs *with* CFTs - seems unusual, possibly this is the ferry flight from LM to EDW?

Just call me "Encyclopedia Brown"... :)

Hi,

I really don't know where the pictures were taken. The only thing I wanted to say with Edwards AFB, was the 'ED' designation. I didn't say they were taken at Edwards. Doesn't seem enough dessert around :D

Thank you for the suggestions Loader. Can anyone confirm that the FY allocation is 99. It would sure help a lot.

And yes Deepspace..... the Israëli F-16's block 52 will look just the same as these (discard the camouflage), as the UAE block 60. The only external difference between the two will be the internal FLIR of the block 60. Sure hope to see some pictures of Israëli block 52's running of the LMTAS plant. As far as I know the first vipers should be ready in December.

Also pictures of UAE block 60 would be great!

Everybody, thankx for your input already. If you have more, please feel free to post.

Greets,

Yeh, Bjorn. The IAF is supposed to get it's first F-16I's on December :( . (It was planned to be on this october, but there is a delay due to strikes at Lockheed Martin). I can't wait to see a pic of the F-16I.

I don't have any pics of a real Block 60 but I do have a drawing and some pics of the Block 60 simulator cockpit on my website:
