OK thanks. I'm really interested in circuit details - especially the approach / landing - there is some info already; but always need more.

HAS THIS POST BEEN MADE?: "...Just the landing pattern is worth a small post in itself!"

Bah Humbug. Any circuit and landing post from Hanche - are we there yet? But anyways here is an F-35A LANDING snippet:
A close-up look at the F-35A, the Air Force’s next-gen jet
15 Aug 2016 Allison Barrie

"...The F-35A benefits from tech developed for the Navy requirements.

“So for landing — because of the Navy variant — we have this special function called Approach Power Compensator and what it does is when I’m ready to land, I get lined up on final,” Schmidt revealed. “I press a button on the jet and the jet does whatever it needs to trim itself up to a perfect landing attitude so then I just fly the jet down. The jet adds power, it reduces power to change the pitch of the jet. So landing, you flare just a little bit and the jet touches down and it’s done.”..."

Fourth Norwegian F-35A Delivered to Luke
Sep 2016 AFM

"A FOURTH F-35A Lightning II has been delivered to the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The aircraft, 5110 (AM-03, USAF/ 14-5110), the third production aircraft for the RNoAF, arrived at the base on July 27.

The announcement that this was the fourth RNoAF to arrive at Luke implies that the third delivery must also have taken place, although it has not previously been reported. This was the fourth production aircraft, 5111 (AM-04, USAF/ 14-5111), which had made its maiden flight on June 9 at Fort Worth, Texas. It is not known when it arrived at Luke.

The first two RNoAF F-35As, 5087 (AM-01, USAF/13-5087) and 5088 (AM-02, USAF/ 13-5088), had been delivered to Luke on November 10 last year, when they were flown in from the factory in Fort Worth, Texas – see Norway’s First Two F-35As Delivered to Luke AFB, January, p11. All four are currently training with the US Air Force’s 62nd Fighter Squadron ‘Spikes’ at Luke. The first aircraft to arrive in country will be delivered to Ørland Air Base next year to join 338 Skvadron."

T'has been quiet about the circuit, I'm afraid.

The delivery of both AM3 and AM4 was reported on twitter by @Kampfly_no, but since this was holiday time up here, I'm guessing no articles.

The mentioned twitter account is a good source to pick up major news about .no deliveries, and also some twits commenting....

"...The aircraft fly in a V-shape with the flight leader at the point and his wingman on his left. The second element leader and his wingman fly to his right. The formation flies over the ceremony low enough to be clearly seen and the second element leader [No.3] abruptly pulls up out of the formation while the rest of the formation continues in level flight until all aircraft are out of sight...."
