F-35 Lightning II vs Dassault Rafale
Is it really necessary to rehash this? There is an existing thread which deals with the subject of sensor fusion ie. 5gen Vs 4gen... here...

Spectra on F4 standard will feature an "Autonomous Numeric Jammer" (what is that?)

DRFM?
Possibly. Google Translate gave also the meaning "Digital autonomous jammer" which sounds more correct. I'd say that includes DRFM, digital receiver technology and more advanced and flexible signal processing system.

DRFM has been on French jammers for decades. More likely just a vague designation/acronym, we are expert to come up with such.

Yes they do with MICA IR missile (having TVC, IIR seeker and one way data link). It's definitely very capable missile with long range for IR missile. There is also possibility of using MICA missile with HMS in Rafale like Qatar does with Targo II HMS. But most Rafales don't have HMS at the moment or possibly ever.

No it doese. http://www.defesanet.com.br/rafale/noti ... fference-/
There are rumours that the helmet chosen for Armée de l'Air will be announced before march. My bet goes to Scorpion.

Qatari Rafale (delivery scheduled early Feb.) are fit with an HMS (Targo II). Rumours run that theannouncement of a HMS on french Rafale shoudl be done very soon. But Hobs and HMS are two different things. We should learn more this summer as not less than 10 Rafale will be sent to Finland for an exercise.

Quatar is the polar opposite of the Indian/Canadian fighter acquisition program - they're going for the royal flush! Brand spanking new F-15QA's, Typhoons and I think Rafale's as well. No indecision there. Likely a logistical nightmare operating such a diverse fleet, but damn - they don't mess around.
Wouldn't it be something if they ordered Gripen NG and the SU-35 to round out the fleet? LOL

The amazing Rafale will be further evolved with the F4 standard:
http://www.aircosmosinternational.com/d ... act-119255
The F4 should make the Rafale relevant for quite some time into the future.
Eric Trappier, chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, received the F4 standard development contract for the Rafale combat aircraft on 14th January 2019, during a visit to the company's Mérignac plant by Florence Parly, French Minister of the Armed Forces. The contract is reportedly worth €2bn.
Dassault will be responsible for implementing innovative connectivity solutions to optimize the effectiveness of the aircraft in networked combat (new satellite and intra-patrol links, communication server, software-defined radio).
New functions will also be developed to improve the aircraft’s capabilities (upgrades to the radar and front sector optronics sensors, helmet-mounted display capabilities), and new weapons will be integrated (Mica NG air-to-air missile and 1,000kg AASM Air-to-Ground Modular Weapon).
Dassault says that Rafale through-life support will become more “top-down”, under the authority of the aircraft manufacturer. F4 will include a new Prognosis and Diagnostic Aid System introducing predictive maintenance capabilities.
Other maintenance optimisation features are scheduled, including solutions based on Big Data and artificial intelligence. Lastly, the Rafale will be equipped with a new engine control unit.
Validation of the F4 standard is scheduled for 2024, with some functions becoming available as of 2022.
