Well, from the photo that we can find, we can only say that J-20 has some optical windows around the fuselage, but nothing can prove that hardware devices are already installed.

Furthermore, no test video can prove that J-20 has 360 degree targeting capability, while F-35 has.
Furthermore, China has not demonstrated any missiles with "HOBS+LOAL" capability, while aim-9x block 2 does have. Such missile is a must to make full use of DAS.

By "demonstrated" I mean "tested" not "claimed". Everyone can claim big things, such as "Su-35's PESA can find VLO target at 90 km distance" while F-22 closed in up to visual range to SU-35 without being detected in Syria conflict.

My (uneducated) guess or speculation is that those "optical windows" around the J-20 fuselage are part of a Missile Warning System (either composed by UV or IR sensors, this IMO is the big question) and not something like the F-35's DAS which is a more comprehensive 360º IR detection system which can act like an IRST and can also be used for all-weather navigation as well as a Missile Warning System.
“Active stealth” is what the ignorant nay sayers call ECM and pretend like it’s new.

Obviously they are for some kind of EO/IR sensor. The mystery is the degree of sensor fusion achieved. After that, there's the question of multi-ship sensor fusion.

I seriously doubt Chinese can currently make imaging infrared systems anywhere near the capabilities of EOTS or EODAS. I doubt they can develop required detectors, signal processing systems and sensor fusion systems. I think they might be able to get roughly similar capabilities than AN/AAR-56 in F-22 or DDM-NG in Rafale. I agree that fairly simple MLD/MAWS is much more likely than EODAS style system as that would require some serious leaps in Chinese technology.
