The U-2 carrier landing is pretty neat also IMO.

Nice video indeed rheonomic!

I did remember that the C-130 was tested on US Carriers but I admit that I didn't recall that the U-2 was also tested on Carriers as well :)

8) I'll probably never see the MQ-25 in service in videos - so much for urgency - USN does things in own way I guess. So this is the reason more Super Hornets are required. TANKERS TANKERS TANKERS in the interim and DAMN THE TORPEDOES!
Navy FY 2019 Budget Request Pushes MQ-25A Stingray to Mid-2020s
12 Feb 2018 Ben Werner

"THE PENTAGON – The Navy’s MQ-25A Stingray unmanned aerial tanker project, previously described as a rapid acquisition program for the department, is now not set to be integrated into the air wing until 2026, officials said on Monday.

The Navy is proposing spending $719 million on research and development for the MQ-25A and now anticipates purchasing the first four aircraft in 2023. The service doesn’t expect to reach initial operational capability until Fiscal Year 2026, Rear Adm. Brian Luther, the deputy assistant secretary of the Navy for budget and the director of fiscal management on the Chief of Naval Operations staff, said during a Fiscal Year 2019 budget briefing Monday...."

Boeing unit joins General Atomics' bid for MQ-25
13 Feb 2018 Stephen Trimble

"Boeing has joined a team of suppliers supporting General Atomics Aeronautical Systems’ bid to win the US Navy’s MQ-25 Stingray programme even as it continues to promote a clean-sheet alternative design....

...“Pursuing the programme as a prime bidder and a member of the General Atomics team is good for our customer and reflects our focus on doing what’s necessary to compete, win and grow,” Boeing says....

...If selected, the GA-ASI Stingray would be powered by the nearly 16,000lb-thrust Pratt & Whitney Canada PW815 turbofan engine. GA-ASI is so far the only bidder in the MQ-25 competition to have revealed an engine choice. It shows that the MQ-25 will be considerably larger than GA-ASI’s jet-powered Predator C Avenger unmanned air system, which is powered by the nearly 4,000lb-thrust PW545B turbofan.

GA-ASI also selected UTC Aerospace Systems to design and build the landing gear and GKN Aerospace’s Fokker business to supply the arresting hook."

Officers maneuvering for a Boeing job after retirement?

Either that or their budget it to tight and they are too short-sighted.

They're willing to continue burning airframe hours in the tanker role to get some shiny new jets.

Honestly the original schedule was way too optimistic.
