Caught a wire photo of Bo the First Dog being airlifted into Mahthuh's Vinyud ( ) and the aircraft caught my eye. Apparently the first Osprey delivery happened in March of this year but I didn't see any web stories on it except for the one in the link.

So the President and company don't have enough transportation resources that he needs an Osprey too???

Pitiful, utterly pitiful.

The V-22 is replacing some older helicopters.

A) Its for the transportation element of HMX-1. It is not a presidential helicopter. The only different between these and fleet models are the comm suite.

B) its replacing the CH-46s which are being phased out.

Ok, if you guys say so. It's just that the first photo conveys a lot of easily misconstrued imagery as opposed to official and proper utilization.

Then again, what do I know.

The press can be rather tone deaf in these matters.
