The lack of circular cross section causes issues with pressurization, the fact that it isn't integrated with the frame probably means it takes a hit to structural strength, and as a whole the idea is bound to add a lot of weight. I also don't see that it saves the passengers much time.
Einstein got it backward: one cannot prevent a war without preparing for it.
