Super Hornet vs "tic tac"

Military aircraft - Post cold war aircraft, including for example B-2, Gripen, F-18E/F Super Hornet, Rafale, and Typhoon.

If RADAR, FLIR, well-trained pilots are visually, at times, tracking unexplained objects in the air, then something is there. What that something is, is open to conjecture.
Have F110, Block 70, will travel

For something otherworldly, the metrics of merit are things like number of
right angle turns, acceleration and dive/climb performance.

Nothing I've ever seen suggests any otherworldly performance here.

And a UFO kinematically outperforming a Super Hornet is not a particularly impressive feat.

Most modern and worldly 4th Gen fighters outperforming a "Super" Hornet is not a particularly impressive feat.

My point exactly.

When I first saw the FLIR imagery, my initial impression was that it was some sort advanced ballistic missile decoy.

Nothing extra-terrestrial about this, just a highly classified USAF/USN aircraft.

The same hysteria surrounded early sightings of the SR-71 and other US "Black" programs. The recent reports out of Iran as to what is flying around their nuclear reactors squares up with this too. We have some unmanned craft that can perform amazing, unexplained maneuvers and at speeds which defy logic.

So no little green men behind it. Besides, out-performing a SH in kinematics is no great feat. Sadly, it happens every time one performs dissimilar air combat with F-15's, 16's, Typhoons, Rafale's etc.. Long, long list. You can just add these tic tacs to it too...

Even so, the video images are not definitive proof that the jet pilots were chasing an actual UFO.

“To really be sure, we would need the raw data,” said Dr. Steve Cummings, vice president of Technology Development and Execution at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems. “Visual displays alone are not the best evidence.”

So how best to track an alien spaceship in our skies?

“Wide-area search of some form or another," said Cummings. “I would want want at least two sensors, like radar and [electro-optical/infrared], to search the skies...One way to actually verify these and be absolutely certain that this is not an anomaly is to get the same target, behaving the same way on multiple sensors.”

The reports did not say "wow this is faster than my SH", they said "wow this is faster than anything we have ever seen". There is a difference..

Some news on the "UFO" front; first, the US Navy confirms that the leaked videos are the real deal:

https://www.history.com/news/navy-confi ... ideos-real

They confirm that they don't know what this is, but also that it has happened frequently, and poses a potential security risk. This new opennes is perhaps part of the effort to remove some of the stigma related to UFOs/UAPs( Stigma that is also well demonstrated by some of the posters to this thread...!)

Gradisher told HISTORY the Navy is trying to reduce the stigma of reporting UAPs, which in the past pilots may have been disparaged—or ignored—for reporting. “We want to get beyond that stigma, and encourage our aviators to report anything that they’re seeing out there.”

In other news, "Two the Stars Academy" claim they may have materials from alien artifacts:

If you'd been abducted and probed, I imagine you would want to appear as skeptical as possible to avoid having the unpleasant experience repeated.

Perhaps this is the explanation -- however, the problem with this is that, the US Navy has recenly confirmed that they failed to identify these objects.... seems a bit odd that the USN, that has access to all the information, from various sensors, still fail to identify these objects, especially after some random dudes on the net have figured it out and also published their explanation for everybody (including the USN) to read. If this really is the case, well then I am very disappointed by the USN and their capabilities (or rather, lack thereof). Keep in mind this was not just one single incidence, but a large number of incidents, over several years. To be honest, I find it hard to believe that the USN are so incompetent (I may be wrong of course).

The few explanations I can think of (the most likely listed first, the least likely listed last):

1. Disinformation campaign
2. Classified aviation tech from the US (or China)
3. Aliens (yes, really)

In any case, the US Army wants to play along:

The plot thickens even more!

The US Air Force Office of Special Investigations have disclosed that they ave examined two of the "tic tac" videos:

Given one of AFOSI's roles is security management for highly-classified Air Force programs or SAPs, it would be easy to assume the Air Force’s interest in the 2015 videos was because the objects are actually classified Air Force technology. However, what the Pentagon says was the conclusion of AFOSI's investigation seems to suggest the exact opposite. "The investigation determined the videos were not classified," Gough told Vice.

Kevin Day, who was on on USS Princeton during the first "tic tac" incident has started a company to go search for UFOs!
