2017 MiG-31 Friendly Fire Incident.

Military aircraft - Post cold war aircraft, including for example B-2, Gripen, F-18E/F Super Hornet, Rafale, and Typhoon.

Chalk up the MiG-31's first combat "kill"... and loss. According to this article (https://baza.io/posts/f3824674-7116-47b ... 2e58cea35a) that MiG-31 that "crashed" in 2017 was somehow the victim of friendly fire from another MiG-31 launching an AA-9. Miraculously both airmen managed to survive considering the size of the Amos' warhead.

Well, it's happened to the F-15 too so I suppose its in good company.

An AA-9 shot though, ouch. Lucky indeed both are alive. For the crew that shot it down, that had to be long flight back to base. And almost certainly, the base commander's office...
