Not quite so - if you look on the picture of plane nr 6002 you will see that the IRST are missing.
That will first appear on plane nr 6011 and the following.

Saab has completed its participation with Gripen E and GlobalEye AEW&C in the Finnish HX Challenge..
Saab is now offering Gripen E/F combat jet and GlobalEye advanced AEW&C aircraft to Finland. "The offer provides a substantial contribution to the joint operational capability of the Finnish Defence Forces,"

Meanwhile, in the end. US thought 2 F-35A would be enough to complete the tasks of the evaluations

How is the F-35A going to duplicate the 11 hour endurance and 300 degree 500km radar coverage area range of GlobalEye without prematurely ageing its fighter airframe and over stressing its pilots ? Perhaps the USN should retire its E-2D now they have the F-35C ? Some of the fanboy arguments in support of the F-35 are now verging on the ridiculous. The Finns have the option of just Gripens if they want but Saab wanted to give them an overall more complete solution to their requirements.

Do you have the link for the HX requirement of 11 hours. I couldn't find it. We will find out soon if the 2 F-35A successfully completed HX without the use of AEW&C

Simple solution:

Take ONE Griphen and One F-35 and put them on opposite sides of the runway.
Arm both with 100 bullets, ONE WVR and ONE BVR missile.
Fight starts as soon as the gears are up.

Survivor wins contract. Pretty honest and pretty simple.

Why does it Always have to be complicated? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Saab has shifted the focus of its Gripen E/F testing away from basic flight trials towards the aircraft's tactical and sensor suites as the programme ramps up ahead of the first upcoming deliveries to Sweden and Brazil.

Speaking at Saab's annual Gripen Seminar on 26 March, the company's head of the programme, Eddy de la Motte, said that, with flight-characteristic tests having proceeded to plan, the focus is now on validating the aircraft's mission systems.

"We have six aircraft currently in flight testing and we passed 300 hours a couple of weeks ago. Flight testing is proceeding to plan and now the tactical suite and sensor systems are the testing focus - the radar, the infrared search and track [IRST], the electronic warfare [EW], and other mission systems," de la Motte said.

As de la Motte noted, the early results so far received have shown the systems to be performing "much better than expected".

Saab has commenced manufacture of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB)’s first two-seat Gripen F fighter jet.
“Saab has performed the first metal cut for the two-seater fighter aircraft Gripen F, marking an important milestone in the programme,” the company said in a statement Thursday.

“This milestone is important for the Gripen project because it demonstrates that the development phase is proceeding properly. This signals the beginning of the production of the two-seater aircraft, Gripen F, which is much anticipated by the Brazilian Air Force,” says Colonel Renato Leite, head of the Monitoring and Control Group (GAC-Saab) at the Brazilian Air Force.
