I'm sure all of AF pilots have already done it in basic training. Anyway most of the soldier must handle their weapon perfectly right?

So I'm going to ask you. Is there any mandatory schedule for an AF pilots to do a field training as infantry does? Exclude the shooting range and survival training.

AFROTC pilots have some exposure to it through ROTC. I'm not aware of any recurring qualifications, though. I suspect that those would be a charlie-foxtrot of epic proportions that makes the average uncontrolled public rifle range look like a paragon of safety procedures. People who do not train with weapons regularly tend to behave very dangerously when handed or issued a weapon.
I'm a mining engineer. How the hell did I wind up here?
