Latest member of the 4000hr club is Col. Gregory Jones, who accrued 4,000 hours in the F-16 on January 9, 2015. Read 944th pilot aims high and logs 4,000 flying hours

4,000 hours in the F-16...

A milestone for myself. Very proud and humbled to be the first one in my Air Force to reach this goal. But it’s also just a number. A number that wouldn’t be possible without all the people that work behind the scenes to make every flight hour possible.
So this number represents thousands of hours of dedicated people working to make us fly. This number represents meeting lots of amazing people in the different Armed Forces I had the honor to work for.

It’s been an amazing journey so far. Thanks to all who made this possible!!!!!

That's a mighty impressive total of hours! I enjoyed seeing the AZ ANG Vipers flying when I worked at one of the copper mines south of Tucson. There's something surreal about seeing a fighter fly over you when you're a thousand feet down in a pit.
I'm a mining engineer. How the hell did I wind up here?

When I was younger I would have given various parts of my anatomy to be a Viper pilot. These guys are lucky to have done it for so long.
