Turkish F-16C Block 50 crashed over Hatay

A Turkish F-16C Block 50 crashed in Hatay province of Turkey. Cause of the mishap is not known and the pilot is believed to have ejected before the aircraft crashed. The crash site has been found but the pilot is still missing.

The pilot was found to be dead, unfortunately... Captain Hamza Gümüssoy, rest in peace...

Google News articles in Turkish call him Yüzbasi Hamza Gümüssoy, where Yüzbasi is Captain, I think.

"Tegmen" is Lieutenant

"Yüzbasi" is Captain (literally "Head of 100)

"Binbasi" is Major (literally "Head of 100)
