Video: DACT Danish F-16 vs. Italian Typhoon

Agreed, it will never be a fair fight but how would the F-16 match up against the ... ?

Link to video A Danish F-16 pilot comments on two DACT engagements with an Italian Eurofigther Typhoon. In the first part the Danish pilot has a possible gun opportunity, but is too close and heading for the deck. In the second engagement the pilot achieve two gun 'kills'. The pilot comments that the F-16 has good manuverability against the Typhoon, in particular in the lower speed portions of the envelope.

Link to video Also a classic: Norwegian Viper compilation. Note the most excellent roll at 3m 10sec.

Nice video, I would like to know what were the ROEs for the Typhoon? The Viper seldom pulled 6Gs or more. It reminds me of a picture or video of an F-5 (on this website) sitting a little high camping on the tail of a F-22A.
When one reads the HUD of the F-5, one sees the altitude ?15,000-ft. air speed ?400-mph and, only pulling 5Gs!
Without ROEs, the F-5 would be gobbled-up in milli-seconds by the F-22A!

The Viper(s?) pulled between 2 and 4.3 g at the time the Typhoon(s?) were in the gun sight. Max g displayed during the first sequence was 6.6 g (it was before that sequence). You have to take into account the speed of the aircraft as you need a certain speed to pull a certain number of gs. At low speed the gs are actually much lower, perhaps ~3 g max at 200 kt. Of course this depends on the aircraft type as well.

Gotta love that EEGS funnel...that guy was hosed. The blanked out part of the HUD video was missile information.
