F-16 vs itself

Agreed, it will never be a fair fight but how would the F-16 match up against the ... ?

Yes you read right. The F-16 vs different variants of itself (such as the F16A vs B) in various categories- long range, dog fight guns only, etc.

call me crazy but I think the Blk5 would have best odds in a gunfight due to being far lighter than the rest. Blk60 would be best best for everything else.

Yeah, I guess so. I didn't really think about that how the block 60 is most advanced, but it would be interesting to have F-16s pair up-see who's better :D

There have been many cases for example in the Mediterranean where Turkish F-16s engaged in mock dogfights with Greek F-16s. Sometimes the Turkish Vipers "won" sometimes the Greek Vipers "won". It depends greatly on pilot training, morale (in times of actual war) and also on aircraft capability if they have different Viper versions. If for example you take equally skilled pilots and put one in a Block 60 and one in a Block 5/15, in a dogfight the Block 5/15 will probably have the Block 60 for breakfast as it is much lighter and much more maneuverable. But in BVR the Block 5/15 will be easily dead by the Block 60.
