Title: Business Development Manager / Line Pilot
Location: Mesa, AZ

Responsibilities
As a key player within the Top Aces Corp (TAC) team, this role will support marketing and business development activities, with a primary focus on the USAF. This is a leadership role within the Business Development team, however, the position does not have any direct reports. The role will also include the responsibility to be a line pilot qualified in TAC’s Alpha Jet, A-4, and F-16.

• Monitor USAF opportunities and analyze for TAC participation.
• Create comprehensive capture plans for selected opportunities based upon intimate knowledge of the client organization, requirements and processes.
• Collaborate with other department or inter-company leaders, engineers, financial analysts and maintainers to develop marketing and capture strategies.
• Positively contribute to the achievement of financial targets.
• Actively participate in the pursuit of new business capture, including guiding new opportunities through a gated process.
• Fulfill the responsibilities of Capture Manager in identified opportunities.
• Participate in and if necessary, lead the RFP response and management of the Bid Team.
• Lead and contribute to specific business development campaigns, as assigned, and provide regular inputs to other areas of the company.
• Participate in the planning and presentation of proposals and information sessions to potential customers and partners.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all FAA and TAC Company policies with respect to pilot certification, licensing, and registration.

The BD Manager/Line Pilot will also be responsible to provide marketing support, working within the larger BD team:
• Act as a focal point for identifying areas for marketing success with the USAF.
• Participate in the analysis of USAF market.
• Generate Business Intelligence to support decision-making process.
• Conduct Market Analysis in all relevant markets including:
o Scope-the-Environment (General market conditions, trends, participants, threats, opportunities, barriers-to-entry, etc.).
o Assess overall market size (revenue and profit)
o Identify target market share within given market.
• Participate in the promotion of the Discovery Air brand and capabilities at key International industry forums.


Skills, Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
• Strong “Customer First” focus with an emphasis on quality, detail oriented, and relationship management.
• A familiarity with government tender processes and complex proposals.
• A polished professional with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to initiate and foster relationships.
• Strong self-starter with ability to work on his own within company guidelines.
• Solid organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• High level of initiative and adaptability to rapidly changing demands.
• Works well within a team structure.
• Ability to resolve and prioritize issues in a timely manner.
• Outgoing personality, displays enthusiasm and passion for their work.
• Strong technical skills – Microsoft Office Suite, CRM experience an asset.

Mandatory
• Recently retired USAF Active Duty Colonel (06) or Brigadier General (07).
o Will examine highly qualified Lt Cols that meet below requirements
• Fighter qualified (2000+ fighter hours) with recent flying history.
• Extensive USAF fighter operations experience at WG level and above.

Strongly Preferred
• Previous F-16 Qualification
• Previous HAF/MAJCOM staff experience
• Previous SQ/CC or higher
• USAF WIC graduate
• USAF Aggressor qualified pilot
• Previous Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience
• Previous Contracting or Acquisition experience
• In-resident Air Command and Staff College and/or Air War College
• USAFE/PACAF operational tours or staff experience

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
• Valid FAA Pilot Certificate: Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot.
o Must have SEL or MEL commercial privileges, depending aircraft type.
• Valid Class I or II FAA Medical Certificate
• Able to obtain the applicable and necessary U.S. Government security clearance to successfully perform this function.

Physical Requirements and/or Work Conditions
• Ability to travel extensively in the USA, as well as ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
