Hi guys,
I have been searching for aircraft maintenance work anywhere in the Middle East. I am qualified in two trades - Avionics, and Aircraft Armament, having 6 years experience with the Royal Australian Air Force on F-18's.
I see that there is a lot of advertised jobs for F-15 and F-16 maintainers, but I am having difficulty seeing as I only have experience on F-18's. I have trade certificates in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Avionics and have completed all Avionics specialist courses and Armament specialist courses.
I have the experience and quals on fast jets and I know I would transition smoothly to any US fighter jet.
I have submitted my resume to a few places and Have been keeping an eye on Jsfirm for opportunities. Keen for the chance to work anywhere in the Middle East.
It looks like there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum, so if anyone could point me in the right direction, or know of anyone I should be contacting please let me know.
Thanks!
Rich

Don't be shy with your resume. If they are hard up enough for people. They will call. They told me when I work on Saudi Helicopters. That you needed to helicopter experience. When I got there the other 2 guys in my work area had only worked on fighters.
