Saw this today.

In addition, the service will contract maintenance for F-35s at the main operational training base, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. This move "helps ensure enough Air Force maintainers are trained and in place to support the F-35 at initial operational capability and beyond," James said in the release.

They are already have people working at Edwards and Eglin. If you need a job. Get in wherever you can. Then transfer.

I had my interview with Lockheed for the F-35 mechanic openings at Luke AFB. The only issue they had was that I don't have my Secret Clearance and they were concerned about the timeframe it would take to obtain it. Does anybody know how long it takes for a Secret Clearance or Interim Secret Clearance ? Also, was wondering how many mechanics they are looking to hire ?
