149th FW San Antonio, need info?

Looking to transfer to the 149th FW ANG San Antonio. Im applying for the weapons loader position wg-11 currently open. What can anyone tell me about this unit? Especially in aircraft maintenance? Good unit to work for? Is this a training unit? Thank you..

149th is a good unit. I work in E&E. It is a training unit. The weapons guys here stay pretty busy.

I left the 149th because I was tired of the good 'ol boys club that goes on there and I know many others that are looking to leave. Yes it is a training unit which is bad if you like to go TDY a lot or want to deploy. Management isn't very employee friendly at times. Good luck
