AMMROC jobs have appeared to resurface through a recruiting company called: Reach Facilities Management Services Group . Notice they're putting wages as Negotiable. I spoke with an Emiratee lady on my initial phone call almost 4 weeks ago. Awaiting Tech Guys response as they call it. This recruiting company can be seen on Linked In under the GROUPS heading.

IN Shalah!I have not heard back from AMMROC with the second round of dicussion from the TECH GUYS. Not concerned. I know my next job. Intra L3 Vertex Aerospace tansfer. I'm going to the Afghan Air Wing training base at Shindand in Herat province south western Afghanistan closer to the Iranian border.. Working with brand new Cessna Caravan 208Bs with Pratt and Whitney PT6A-42 turboprops and Cessna 182T-turbocharged opposed piston engines used for Afghan pilot training. We as L3 oversee maintenance and follow up with OJT for Afghan military maintainers who've had classroom instruction. We'll ocassionally work out of Kabul airport. Should be interesting.

As far as AMMROC goes I have my contract offered and accepted, I was told I would be with a nice sized group coming in early July. Right now I am in the paperwork stage.

Goose
You don't happen to work with L-3 out of Madison Mississippi?

I worked for them in Miami and Houston on the Treasury Department Aviation Contract.

I still haven't heard anything back on my request to retire early. But I look forward to going back to the Middle East for a couple of years.

Good luck

Check out dubizzle.com, they usually have a lot of listings of apartments. If you are going to live in abu dhabi I would suggest checking out khalifah city a and mohammed bin zayed city they are fairly close to the airport where you will be working. Downtown abu dhabi is nice, I would recommend al reem island they have some nice new apartments and there are a great deal of western expats there. The only downside to living in abu dhabi is the traffic congestion.
