I've read through a few UAE threads but I was still wondering if anyone has brought their wife and kids with them to work in UAE? How was the experience? Any advice? Thanks!

I was over there for two years. Have to get your marriage licence certified by state dept. before you bring wife over. All fees and tickets will come out of your own pocket. Lockheed does not sponsor family but will assist in the process. Brought my wife over after 3 months and had no problems. The guy who use to do all of the HR for Lockheed over there was outstanding and helped get all of the paperwork through...even her driver's license. Then brought 2 step-children over for the last year and again no problems. Had an amazing experience and would still be there if not for family obligation back in the states. Would definitely go back.
