So hold on, in the US crew chief positions are contracted out to civilian companies? I always thought that military personnel fix and maintain military aircraft.

I'm not sure, but I think this thread is for USAF guys looking for a good transfer. It would certainly look good on someone's Enlisted Record Brief (or whatever the Air Force calls it) to be one of the first to service a new airframe. Some clarification would be nice though.

Ok here it is I'm an EX-fighter crew chief looking for a civilian fighter maintainer job or something in the UAV/UAS world....better....

Apply online at lockheedmartinjobs.com. That is what I did. I got a call 2 months later for an interview and got in. The title you are looking for is Field and Service Mech. Its equivilent to a military Crew Chief. If it says OS at the end of the job title that means "off site" and it's at either Edwards or Pax. The req ID for Edwards is 199646BR. Good Luck!
