Lockheed jobs in the UAE

To all of those that are still looking for a job in the UAE, here you go:

Fuel/Hydrazine Tech(Aircraft Mech 3)
Systems Instructors
AGE instructors
APG/Crew Chief Instructors
APG Techs/Crew Chiefs
Avionics Techs
Material Management, otherwise known as MHA's or parts and delivery handlers, expediters, etc.

No matter what your position, unless you're being hired into a management job, you all get the same.

Net is about 70-73,000 a year with a bonus at the end of the year and a new furnished apt. is provided; utilities such as elect. water/gas are paid for by the company; cable, internet. etc. are paid by the employee and it's not cheap. I'm getting basic cable with a few movies for 71USD a mth and I'm getting the mid range internet connection for about 80USD a mth. The apartments are beautiful, but the drive in every morning from Al Ain can take up to one hour and twenty minutes(One-way) Groceries work out to be about the same as you would pay in the states;gas is about 1.29 a gallon right now; in some areas it's as low as 1.15 a gallon. The gas is cheap, but when the time comes for you to rent your own car, you'll pay at least 600USD a month. The gas is cheap, but you'll be at the station filling up a l ot with that long drive to and from work.

With all that said, I would still encourage people to take the chance on this because it's a good opportunity overall. A POC is Thorne Ambrose (864)236-3758 or (864)414-6586. Greenville,SC is fielding and filling the positions out here right now and you will route through Greenville first if you are hired, unless you are already in the middle east or in Europe already.
Only serious applicant need apply because if they sense that you are not committed to coming out here....well, they'll move onto the next applicant.
You won't have a lot of time to get your affairs in ordfer when the offer letter comes, so if you think you have a good chance of getting hired, start making preparations before hand, i. e. house, apt., vehicles, bank accounts, family notifications, children and -. I had only 12 days to get all of my affairs in order before I arrived in the UAE.

Been there and done it for few years............moved on to better things.........What he says is correct....but thats off work stuff....How's the working relationship now over there with the customer.....?????????

You just have to treat them the way you would like to be treated for the most part. Just show them respect and they will show you respect. However, don't disagree with them in front of their peers or in front of other LM employees. Some of them are interested in being taught things and some of them could care less.

Yes, I have my wife and eight month old son here with me. I finally got into one of the new apartments last weekend and things have gotten better since then. It's just that drive to and from Al Ain everyday, definately gonna need God as my co-pilot from here on out.

Yeah, I had a blast when i was there working and not working......customer was ok but they have a VERY VERY different mind-set!!!!! Hey cutlassracer you heading over there?? PM me when you get some free time...

HOW IS AL AIN ? WHY DID YOU MOVE FROM THE APARTMENTS ACROSS FROM THE EMABSSY ? i REALLY LIKE THAT LOCATION, THE PARKING WAS TERRIBLE....... iT WAS ALSO CLOSE TO MY FAVORITE PLACE ALLY PALLY'S AND THE BLOKE BAR......LJD

I didn't move from there. I was still living in the Mafraq Hotel before they opened up the new apartments. I'm satisfied witht the location. I can get to downtown in 10 mins. and I have a nice little market (Abela's) right down the street. It's got a pork shop and an ATM....I'm all set!

Not necessarily. You can put him in the private school, but it's expensive.

I am working for the Royal Saudi Airforce since 2002 as a life support (survival equipment technician) parachute specialist. Experience on the F-16 and F-15C, D and my qualification is basic life saving equipment,advance (diploma of associate engineer,qualifying exam 1,2 &3.) technical instructor course. I am working on this system since 1987. My current contract will expire November this year.

I am looking for and interested to work for uae airforce. I need to know the benefits package when able to get job as one of the above position?

Thanks for the UAE job info. I live in Greenville,SC and work in aviation. I was an F-16 Crew Chief. I contacted Mr. Ambrose. I was a backup. I applied after all APG positions were potentially filled,but they LM is in the process of possibly using my talents in UAE. KUDOS!

If you live in Al Ain...where is the work site? Abu Dhabi or Dubai?

Why are the apartments so far away? Are there other jobs that are closer by?

Is this a Lockheed Martin "village" or is it full of expats?
