Yup...

Keep in mind he isn't even talking about the small AESA on the Gripen E, but the small legacy radar on the Gripen C.

If it didn't work out so well at Atlantic Trident 2017 for Rafales & Typhoons... those Gripen guys will be in for a treat... sometime. eventually.

The text at the jump is rather meh. Tired, warmed over sh*t, different day.

The accompanying video, seen here, though, makes it sound like the world is ending. The TV journalist makes many statements and accusations, but without referencing any sources. The accompanying article does not cite any sources either.

This is the first I've heard that the UK may have to spend upwards of $50M per aircraft to "fix issues." I have little idea what she is blathering on about. She also charges that the F-35 is "susceptible to cyber attack" and "has less memory that a typical iPhone" you can buy today. Hard to believe that last one if they are downloading over a terabyte of data per sortie.

>slow and agonizing death... yes, with 100 planes being produced/year. Funny guy, one of those talking heads.
RT is really tring to reassure amerophobes the F-35 is useless.
Not to mention how must the RuAF feel about the F-35 -> "OH GOD PLEASE DONT BUY 3000 STEALTHY JETS"

RT/Sputnik are Russian government funded. They have an interest in digging up any negative F-35 news that occurs in the West and repeating it. Ideally they would like the program cancelled so their aircraft are not opposed by it because unlike the stupid exaggerated Sprey level type reports they have on it they realise how potent it really is. The UK also has no choice in buying the F-35B as its two ski jump carriers need stovl aircraft to work properly. The F-35B is a quantum leap over the Sea Harriers they replaced in the long run.

Both of those sources are primarily aimed at the russian viewers - of course they do have western readers, but the general awareness of the source seems to be good.

Ignore :)

No, they are both aimed at the foreign language export of the Russian viewpoint, their primary reason for existing.

I think he is referencing the BEST FIGHTER FOR CANADA blog.

Definitely!

Actually it should be mandatory a disclaimer here in this site everytime that "BF4C" site is mentioned and a link posted here. Something like:

Do they actually not know any better, or is that site funded by Boeing or Eurofighter?

Certainly not Boeing. Mostly Eurocanard fans there.

I wonder if they'll be concerned about recent spate of EF crashes?

That's guys posts are always so over the top, I can't tell if he's trolling with extreme satire.

Several times I've agreed with his nutty posts and he will up the ante.

You ever wonder how people can buy into propoganda so hard that they'll shove humans into ovens? Well there's one of those people
