Love the big wing. Perhaps I missed this, but would love it even more if they pulled a Dojo drift maneuver!!1

I found a video of F-35C flying with Super Hornet at Lemoore AirShow 2019! :applause: Can see it from @5:30~.
@0:10~ is a high-rate climb that makes me excited.

Another video.
High-rate climb is from @13:53~. 8)
Surprisingly, the F-35C had a second high-rate climb! From @21:35~

This high rate climb despite being heavy weight...! So...Powerful! It's crazy! MEGA Heavy Monster!!

F-35C is quite striking, especially in formation with those SH's. It looks entirely different, not just its dimensions but smooth, contoured surfaces and finish. As far as its flying display, it was much more sprightly and agile vs. what I was expecting.

This thing will be punching way above its weight, comparable to the bigger, twin engine air superiority fighters such as the F-15, SU-35 etc.. The big wing, 19,000lbs of gas, monster thrust etc. put it closer to the F-22 in appearance and performance. And this is without the soon to be, even more powerful motors that are on the way.

I hope to see it at an airshow soon. The Navy should stand up a demo squadron as the USAF did, if nothing else to continue reversing public opinion as to its capabilities..

Very impressive. The F-35A is the total package.
Have F110, Block 70, will travel

What is the maneuver at 8:38? Is that the Dojo Drift??

Whatever it is, it's VERY impressive. The ITR seems to be out of this world. Why is it though, the STR doesn't follow? It's the one metric I think F-15/16C drivers commented it was sub-par in.

But hey, when everything else is so far and away more advanced its hard to find fault. Especially its legs. 18,000lbs vs. 13,500 or so for the Eagle, and just 7.000lbs for the Viper. I'm sure that's going to go a long way toward not stressing out about going bingo fuel on many a mission. Excited to see if LM can develop those CFT's, with (hopefully) negligible effect on its performance..

I'm not sure sub-par is the right term. F-35s have been demoing pretty impressive minimum radius turns, too. What's more impressive though, are the quick turns followed by steep climbs, or showing how quickly airspeed is regained.

I think the Navy is waiting for the OPEVAL to complete and/ or to get more air frames, before they stand-up an official display team. I also think the USAF will eventually, after getting sufficient air frames, stand-up an East Coast Demo Team for the F-35, along with a West Coast one (at Hill). Could be wrong:/

In my mind, two of the most impressive things (kinematically) with the F-35, is its ability to regain energy quickly and its sustained vertical climbing ability.

Both are impressive, but I think the ability to re-gain energy is the more impressive of the 2. In particular, comparing the high AOA stuff with a Super Hornet display is telling. Both seem to be able to yank the nose around at will, but the F-35 re-gains energy frighteningly fast. Maybe that's not a good comparison, as I've heard it said nothing gets slower faster than a Hornet, but nothing gets faster slower than a Hornet too, LOL.

I recall LM saying something to the effect that it's 2nd only to the Raptor in such conditions. Not sure how much of that is marketing, but it'll certainly be competitive.
