Last line in the link u mention laser. I always wondered if the shaft that turns the lift fan “could” be repourposed to create electricity and the area where the lift fan sits would leave amble space for such things,I know it’s off topic and completely from my imagination, just thoughts.

It takes a gorilla to ride a panther?
Silverback? But razorback sounds so much better, but then you're stuck with a pig...
Take an F-16, stir in A-7, dollop of F-117, gob of F-22, dash of F/A-18, sprinkle with AV-8B, stir well + bake. Whaddya get? F-35.
Too bad velociraptor is such a mouthful: fast, reputedly wicked smart, hunts in a pack, and is ruthless.
Wolf would work, but who wants their jet to be named after a dog, and wolf is kind of bland. Doberman, Rottie... Rottie might work, but again, who wants their jet to be a dog?
Has anyone heard if Panther is in common usage yet? Is it widespread?
H*ll, I like Lightning, just leave off the stupid "II."

Just listened to latest Fighter Pilot podcast on the F-117A. The pilot being interviewed, when asked about the pilots nick name for it, called it the ‘F117A Wet Dream’- It comes in the middle of the night, and you have to clean up after it in the morning.
