I cant come up with a reason Turks blinded the keypad in their demo bird. Never seen such thing done to a Viper. Why is that?

Ahh.... the lovely sushi tray! Great for fodding out your favorite cockpit when the crewchief who discovers hardware missing on a Monday finally gets around to telling his expediter on Friday night... as he's walking out the door.

If I remember correctly, the "sushi tray" was to minimize/ prevent glare from the ICP on the HUD at night. We removed those from USAF aircraft a long time ago after the NVG light conversion. The only F-16 I still see with that are TuAF F-16.
