The General, Main, and F-16 Spotting & Photography boards are getting plastered with spam (hundreds of posts each). Since it's Sunday here, does anyone know how to get a hold of the Mods to stop this?

Maybe it's time for some Captcha in either the "join" function.

Except by 'Report this post to a moderator' (which I have done for the NFL spam) I have no idea. At moment and for several hours this board has been running like 'wet cement'. Good luck.

"Off-Topic" is getting spammed too. Oddly enough, the "F-16 Armament & Stores" only got hit once.

Perhaps it's someone bitter about being banned from F-16.net?

Thanks guys. We seem to have taken a bit of a beating from overseas spammers. Trying to get ontop of it now.

Not sure about the running speed at 'wet cement'. Anyone else having speed & loading issues navigating around the site???

Only when the spam attack was in progress.

I see there are still iPhone hacks being posted today?

Looks like we got it under control. One of the things you can do reduce spam is add a Captcha (where you have to decipher a hard-to-read number or word), but Captcha's are basically an annoying inconvenience for everyone, so we're taking some other measures.

thanks for your patience everyone!

Help? Can't send PMs? Received one on Feb 8, but all my replies are stuck in the Outbox.

Thanks,

Note that a message stays in the outbox until it is being read by the recipient. Send me a PM and you will see it works. :-)

Let me know (via PM) whom you're trying to contact and I will nudge them via email.

AH..... that would explain it.

It was someone new who asked me an engine question; if he doesn't get it himself I guess it wasn't that important.

Thanks Lieven,
