Due to increased server load, the sites slows down at certain moments. We are upgrading to a new server as we speak, and hope to move the site to the faster server in the next few weeks.

Apologies for the inconvenience

Looks like slow pageloads is back for the past few days. Is anyone else experiencing this ? Any technical difficulties with the host server ?

This was a server issue at that time.

Very quick serving pages now. Thanks for fixing it.

(If only those pesky bot infestations could be mitigated!)

It's been upgraded to an encrypted secure site. Maybe that's the reason for the difference.

The slight delay gives one time to relax and think. :D

edit: These days everything is slower, particularly when the traffic light turns green with everybody staring at their phones.

Even more bothersome, is the ad that covers much of the Military Aviation Forum links, and that won't disappear even after clicking on the X.

I have also noticed that when I just open the forum to browse the new posts, after one or two back to the homepage clicks, I am presented with a log in screen, even when I didn’t ask to log in.

Not a major problem, but is this part of the secure server?

Could you perhaps send me a screenshot? Working on the layout now, making the website responsive so you can read it on tablet and smartphone.
