That is called porpoising and in aviation we generally try to avoid that.

Thank you. Avoiding this because of negative G follow by positive one's ,or because of engine surge ?What speed regime is safe for this maneuver? SLOW I believe.

It's not done by other demo teams because it looks silly, and has no tactical value.

And Russians with cobra has tactical value?Public show is about the beauty of the flying now day's vs the beginning not about weapon application's. If we have been witness at the pilots been killed by missile rood's or HEI bullets ripping off the tail or wing nobody ever wanted to be a pilot to defend the country . But to compare agility class is something to be liked.People
don't imagines how your head may be trapped against the canopy plexiglass or fatigue accumulated on the times you display a/c.

I believe they have closed their show with that for a few years now as well.
