I've searched and have not been able to find a thread on this subject, so I figured I'll start one off.

F-16 Özgür
Turkey has commenced retrofitting its F-16 Block 30 fleet with an indigenous mission computer and avionics developed by ASELSAN, hence enabling Turkey to integrate non-US sub-systems and avionics onto their F-16s.The modified Turkish F-16's locally named "Özgür" ("Özgür" has several meanings in Turkish: free, independent, unbounded …) are considered to be a testing bed for Turkey's TFX next generation stealth fighter project.
First Ozgur modified F-16 completed ground tests and performed the first flight in 2012.
This is the first cockpit image of Özgür Avionics in a laboratory environment.
Turks are also developing AESA radar to be integrated into F-16 by 2020.
End goal - using know-how to develop TFX, here we can see TFX Avionics in Lab environment. Very F-35 like.

Interesting thanks - looks similar to the SCU8 mod with that centre console - very nice!
the IDF made a lot of the avionics parts in the block 52... but umm they are having internal conflict right now. So you may want to talk to them about retrofitting since the block 30 have gutted systems... the other thing is a F-16 is fly by wire which means higher gee's any lcd panel needs to take 90 psi of sheering force or risk's shattering at normal speeds.

ASELSAN of Turkey has been producing Navigation and Avionics systems to NATO Standards for some time now. Their systems are also used in many aircraft e.g. the T-129 Attack, TAI Hurkus Coin/Trainer aircraft, Turkish F-35's etc. See http://www.aselsan.com.tr/en-us/capabilities/navigation-and-avionic-systems#KategorisizUrunler
ASELSAN MFD's also use Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display (AMLCD) technology and have been used in high G environments. They will also be used in Turkey's F-35's.
The MFD's used in the F-16 Ozgur have been tested to US MIL-STD-810F which includes the following tests:
Test Method 500.5 Low Pressure (Altitude)
Test Method 501.5 High Temperature
Test Method 502.5 Low Temperature
Test Method 503.5 Temperature Shock
Test Method 504.1 Contamination by Fluids
Test Method 505.5 Solar Radiation (Sunshine)
Test Method 506.5 Rain
Test Method 507.5 Humidity
Test Method 508.6 Fungus
Test Method 509.5 Salt Fog
Test Method 510.5 Sand and Dust
Test Method 511.5 Explosive Atmosphere
Test Method 512.5 Immersion
Test Method 513.6 Acceleration
Test Method 514.6 Vibration
Test Method 515.6 Acoustic Noise
Test Method 516.6 Shock
Test Method 517.1 Pyroshock
Test Method 518.1 Acidic Atmosphere
Test Method 519.6 Gunfire Shock
Test Method 520.3 Temperature, Humidity, Vibration, and Altitude
Test Method 521.3 Icing/Freezing Rain
Test Method 522.1 Ballistic Shock
Test Method 523.3 Vibro-Acoustic/Temperature
Test Method 524 Freeze / Thaw
Test Method 525 Time Waveform Replication
Test Method 526 Rail Impact.
Test Method 527 Multi-Exciter
Test Method 528 Mechanical Vibrations of Shipboard Equipment (Type I – Environmental and Type II – Internally Excited)
F-16 Ozgur aircraft are currently on active duty with Aselsan Helmet Mounted Cuing sytems, indigenous Mission Computer, Indigenous IFF, Aselsan MFD, ASELPOD etc
I would recommend you watch the following video on the ASELPOD as it is a good reflection of the technological advancement Turkey has made in the last 12 years.

I posted the same video a few months ago in this forum. AselPOD is in the final stages of certitication tests on F-16s. First prototype of F-16 Block-30 avionics upgrade project (Ozgur Project) is also revealed and I think they are currently performing ground tests at TAI. We should expect first flights in coming weeks.

Ayesas currently is the sole source supplier the panoramic cockpit display system of the F-35. Even US F-35's will have Turkish designed and produced panoramic cockpit display systems. See http://www.ayesas.com/en/solutions/elec ... assemblies (Scroll down)

Aselsan has a R&D department specifically geared towards display technologies. These are the displays used on F-16 Ozgur project.

In the long term, the only losers will be the Turkish population.
They will have to pay the price for Erdolans egocentric moves.
Like all dictators before him; He will end up on his belly with no friends left.
Trump and Putin will both tweet : " Told you so". And shake hands for the camera's.
