I'm a newcomer to the forum and would like to build one F-16CG Block 40 model (88-0550) crashed during Operation Allied Force.
In order to make the model more realistic, I would like to know if in the 1999 this airplane could be equipped by AN/ASQ-213 R6 pod and AGM-88 HARM missile, if not could I rapresent my airplane with:
2 AIM-120 on the wings of the plane STA1 and 9
2 AIM-9J/L on STA2 and 8
2 AGM-88 on STA3 and 7 (without pod)
Thanks so much in advance Alberto

Hello

In 1999 pretty sure that only the CJ Block 50/52 could carry AGM-88 and AN/ASQ-213 (HTS) pod.

However only CG Block 40/42 could carry LANTIRN and LGBs back then.

2 x AIM-120 on the wings of the plane STA1 and 9
2 x AIM-9M on STA2 and 8 (ALE-50 pylons)
2 x GBU-10/12/24 on STA3 and 7
2 x 370 drop tanks STA 4/6
1 x ECM ALQ-131 pod STA5
1 x AAQ-13 Nav Pod on port cheek
1 x AAQ-14 TGP on starboard cheek
Pilot can have NVGs

Basher is correct, only block 50/52's could carry the -213 and HARM back in -99, while block 40/42 carried GBU's with targeting and nav pods on intakes.

It wasn't until around ~2002 that the block 50/52's could carry the Sniper/Ligthening targeting pod, and that was without the -213. The -213 on the left chin station came about a couple of years later.
Best regards

Hi Basher and Nils,
thank you very much for your info.
If you have any other photos of 88-0550 I would be very grateful. Alberto

P.S. Niels the link doesn't work.
