Station 7. My guess, it has something to do with LGB bombs..

Looks like Lockheed Martin's "Enchanced Laser Guided Training Round"; here's a piece of news confirming Polish Air Force did purchase those: https://www.upi.com/Lockheed-providing- ... 487347408/

It's called an LGTR.......Laser Guided Training Round.....LGTR II to be specific. Pretty common across all fleets these days as a GBU-12/16 surrogate. Let's folks practice LGB deliveries and lasing in training. I've probably dropped one billion of them.

How much do they cost each? I presume they have quite similar accuracy to live ordnance.

The Laser Guided Training Round (LGTR) simulates Laser Guided Weapons and provides a low cost alternative to the use of full scale munitions. The LGTR is capable of replicating the kinematics of LGBs and is suitable for launch from all Navy and Marine Corps aircraft used to deploy LGBs. The round allows the aviator to exercise the coordination between the aircrew and the laser designator and to emulate delivery options and multi-aircraft tactics. The development and retention of this skill set is extensive and the LGTR provides the capability to exercise the system in a cost effective manner.

See page 3 for unit costs. If I am reading it correctly (and that is a big IF) FY20 cost is $3,700 per round.

Thanks.
That is surprisingly cheap. If you can buy laser precision guidance for USD4000, it seems like a lot of things would open up.
