Please advise as to where one can get photos so I can coorectly model the F-16CJ block 52/52. TIA

Hugh Gilmaritn

Sniper XR, Litening & Lantirn Targeting pods can be flown on all blks of F-16 except blk 10/15's, as far as what bases are flying them, I don't think that information needs to be here.

0.3 seconds on Google

Am I missing something vital here?

The AF and contractors put out massive ammounts of information about exactly this kind of thing.

Well just because a contractor puts it out there doesn't make it right, I have seen them get in trouble many times for putting out information without clearing it thru the right folks...... And by the way,the information on that link is very, very far from being correct......That information was way early in the program.

Block 15`s are the first ones produced with ready made attachement points for the guidance pods you mention.

Only Block 1, 5 and 10 could not carry anything, still most have been upgraded to block 15 standard and thus have them anyway today.
This is common throughout NATO members using the Viper

Let me rephrase that..Only F-16 Blks 25 and above can fly Targeting pods. Just because the Blk 15's have hardpoints does not mean they can fly targeting pods. There was never any software released for USAF Blk 15's to fly any kind of targeting pods so its not supported.

The PACAF has the sniper pods. The 8th FW received them a little while ago...

Reviving an old thread. I am attempting to build an Iraqi AF blk 52 in 1/32. Well at least make the model "look" like one. Is the pylon used to mount the Sniper pod the same one used to mount the Lantirn pod ? From what i see in pics i found they look similar.

They are the same, however there is a pallet between the pylon and the sniper pod which the Litening don't have.

Cool ! Thank you. Eduard makes a pod and it looks like it has the pylon / pod adaptor included.
