I was looking through GMW`s website the other day and stumbled across PRE-ORDER marked F-16`s from Hasegawa - the full range of Vipers that used to be listed in the catalogue as recently as 2002!

Amongst them was:
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06101 F-16 Plus Fighting Falcon $16.45
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06102 Thunderbird F-16A $17.95
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06103 F-16C Fighting Falcon $16.50
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06104 F-16C (Block 30) $29.95
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06105 F-16B Plus Fighting Falcon $16.45
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06106 F-16D FF $16.45
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06107 F-16N Top Gun $17.95
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06108 F-16C Night Falcon $17.95
1/48 Hasegawa HSG06110 F-16C/J (Block 50) Fighting Falcon $16.45

So yes, we are finally looking at some decent priced B- and D-Vipers without beeing ripped off on Ebay and other placed 8)
Whats more is that I sent a question to GMW if this was true, and they confirmed this to be correct !!

All I`m waiting for now is to learn WHEN we can expect these

Anybody else who can verify this aswell

Whoa whoa whoa....don't start celebrating yet. GMW's inventory control is atrocious. I wouldn't put any weight on this at all. Not yet. Id' wait to get word from Hase. In fact that whole list smakcs of someone selling theor collection to GMW and they're offing it.

Good point Habu - didn`t consider that one  - guess I got a little exited about finally finding something we all have been wanting for long.
Guess the jokes on me if this turns out sour, but I`ll live 8)

Still there is no mention of limited availabillity, so we`ll just have to wait and see :)

Not only that, but some of those kits are truly OOP, and the CJ kit, #6110 is now kit Pt32. Plus the prices just seem unebelievably low. If this turns out to be true, then I bet it is someone's collection, and I'm betting there won't be too many available so you gotta move fast. But man, I'm right with you, I'm eagerly awaiting a rerelease of the two seater. But most likely, it'll be a DJ kit...in fact I hope it's a DJ kit, so you have the extra options.

Latest update:

GMW just pulled my leg, the order was cancelled not too long ago - as expected but was still hoping

Good news and best comfort is that Hasegawa will atleast release a TF-104G later this year, and this is no hoax :D
Best regards
Niels

This the third time GM has listed the F-16D or B (Since being discontinued) for preorder, but it never happens.

Just glad I have my stash to work from

I was just on Spruebros. web page and they have a link on to pre-order the Hase F-16B and F-16D in 1/48th scale. Kits are sched to be released in May. See it was just as I predicted. As soon as I finally gave up hope that Hase. would rerelease the kit and I paid too much for one on Ebay, Hase. goes and announces that they will rerelease the kit.

Yes yes...looks like it's officially official. Sprue Bros. Dragon USA, and even HLJ now all confirm they will be rereleased. Those sources I trust, not GMW. But w00t! They're coming back! The ony bad thing...the D model is the older boxing, not the DJ.

Well they still fooled ya, the only kits being rereleased thus far are the family models. Those other ones they listed aren't....yet anyway.

Yeah, Habu, I know - but it`s the B- and D-model that everyone seeks, so those are the only ones that matters 8)
