Flew at TJ in 1987 while his brother Jim "Rev" Jones was with the 496TFS at Hahn.

May 2000: "I'm now a Col (S), currently at the Naval War College, leaving in three weeks to become the Deputy Ops Group Commander at Shaw AFB. Since TJ I had assignments at MacDill as an RTU IP, Kunsan (35FS Ops Officer), and Cannon AFB (523FS Ops Officer and 522FS Commander). I currently have about 1700 hours in the F-16."

October 2003: "I left Shaw AFB in Jan 2003 after 19 months as the Operations Group Commander. I went to Al jaber, Kuwait, where I was the 332 Air Expeditionary Wing Commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I have 1,970 hours now. I am hoping for another flying tour so I can go over 2000."
