Has been flying with the 944th AFRES (Luke, AZ) for 5years, flew slot F-16 for the Thunderbirds and was Instructor at the FWS, flies now for Delta Airlines. He reached the milestone of 3,000 hours in March 1995, thus becoming the third USAF-pilot and fourth pilot in the world to reach this mark. After his flight, Undhjem joked about his achievment. "All it means," he said, "is that I'm getting old."

2003: Lance Undhjem was recently promoted to the rank of Colonel. He is still with the 944th FW.

On April 22 2005, the 48-year-old flyboy celebrated his 25th F-16 anniversary by adding a bit more time to the F-16.
