Colonel Beckham reached 3,096.1 hours in June 2002, during a morning sortie establishing a record of 12,699 hours of the highest career flying-hour total by active-duty pilots in a four-ship formation. Other pilots in this formation were Col. Dennis Rea, Lt. Col. Dave McMickell and Lt. Col. Mike Comnick.

Now 56th Training Squadron Chief academic instructor.
