Bahrain airforce F-16 crashes, pilot missing

September 28, 2003 (by Lieven Dewitte) - A Bahraini air force F-16C has crashed Saturday evening during a training flight in northern Bahrain. The fate of the pilot is still unknown.

An F-16C Block 40 of the Bahrain Amiri Air Force crashed on Saturday evening during training in the north of the small Gulf Kingdom.

Search and rescue operations are continuing.

No further details were immediately available.
