Well, looks like I'll be making a trip over to San Antonio. |

| Why on earth is there an F-22 demo? Isn't this a huge waste of our money when all our moneys are being spent in the desert. Maybe this demo money would be more wisely spent fixing the F-15s Matter of fact why even have an F-16 demo? I'm all for seeing jets fly but would rather see a frugal budget. Besides what are the Thunderbirds for aren't they the demo team for public relations? With shrinking budgets let's be more careful how we spend our rare moneys. |

The F-22 isn't coming to the Canadian International Airshow in Toronto this year? Oh well, I guess there's huge demand for this performer and we got to see them last year.

Why are there Thunderbirds and Blue Angels? Why do flyovers at Nascar events and bowl games, and the Super Bowl? General public support, sure, but the biggest reason comes down to three simple words:

CREW
TING |

| Absolutely! Agreed 100%! The mission (from ACC): "Air Force aerial events keep the public and military informed of U.S. preparedness, demonstrate modern weapons systems, promote good community and international relations, support Air Force recruiting and retention efforts and render military honors." |

It is all public relations. All the negative press the F-22 has had, the issue of the price, etc. If the "average Joe" wants a positive image about the F-22A the best way for masses of people to see the F-22A is at an air show. So called experts like Pierre Sprey get press attention that is far more disproportionate than the value of his opinion deserves!
You have to admit people like us who write on aviation related web boards are not average on the topic of aviation. We are avid fans of aviation.
