I would love that show Dogfights do a re-creation of Chuck Yeager's "Ace in a day" mission, that would be a real hoot to see! |

the 2 Tomcat crews had within the past 6 weeks, graduated from TOPGUN. Their training made their adversaries hopelessly outclassed. No doubt that when those 2 MiG drivers were fished out of the Gulf of Sidra, they would think twice about again seeking out any F-14s in the area!
The Libyan CSAR did not find the two pilots and the US Navy observed and graded their efforts to find the downed pilots. |

| Being rescued by Libyan CSAR has to be the equivalent of hitchhiking at midday in the middle of Arizona in July, and being picked up by a 74 Pinto with no air conditioning, and driven by a fat, smelly guy who farts a lot. |

TC - a ride is a ride, it could be worse. Think of a jepney on the way back from the balut market on a five for one special day. |

Well, if Libyan CSAR didn't kill you, then the sharks definitely will! However, the alternative is becoming an appetizer for Jaws, then it might be worth it.
Last time I flew near the Gulf of Sidra, you could look down, and actually see the sharks swimming around. I've heard the same thing about the Leyte Gulf in the Philippines. |
