I had the opportunity to visit the San Angelo, Tx facility in April of this year. I had been layed off from my Block 60 contract and was looking for something that would fit me as well as help me provide for my family. I met with Don Mooney the site manager and he showed me around for the day. WHAT A FACILITY!, the hangar is about 4 years old, clean, the people are nice and personable. The position was an avionics installer, they do mods to passenger type aircraft. Good pay, $23.50 and 8 hours overtime a week. The only reason I didn't take it was that Lockheed called and I was lucky enough to get a position here and not have to uproot my family. I talked to Don on the phone more than a few times, spent only a day at the faciltiy, but if this contract ends, I know where my first phone call is going to go! I had a great experience just going thru the hiring phase, the jobs are on JSFIRM right now, here's the email; Don.Mooney@L-3com.com These folks have a great thing going!
