I worked for L3 at Moody Air Force Base. The only problem I had was that you needed a four year degree to fill out the timecard.
Congratulations on the job. Keep us posted on any other job openings at Shepherd. |

the L3 guys had some bad habits when i was in tech school at sheppard. We watched them put an aircraft battery on the ground then just walk away leaving their tools out. i remember my instructor pointing them out going don't do that EVER.

I just started with L3 at Sheppard last week as a aircraft helper on the Maint Training aircraft. (A-10s, F-15s, F-16s, T-37s, T-38s, B-52s, C-130s, KC-135s and a Helo) They are much easyer to work when they never fly. The word around the shop is that there are a couple of aircraft helper jobs opening up, (thats the entry level position (3 level if you will)). It pays a little over $18 per hour, and up to about $19 in Oct. I found my job on WorkinTexas.com.

I started with L3 back in April of 06 working at Hill AFB in the C-130 Depot. started out at 18.41 per hour, then 10 months later i was at 23.39. now i make 26.03 an hour but the poor management and low morale make me want to leave this company really bad. i wouldnt suggest working here. you'll want to leave real soon!!!

I have been with L3 in Iraq since 2004, they are a good company. Need more quality airforce people to help the Army in their maintenance.
