So much for "back in the air by August".
Here's to the flight test program having all the problems so that the production birds have smooth flights! |

Amen to that. And here's to the flight test program finding all the problems on the ground. |

I believe Jeff Knowles was the pilot in command of CD-15. |

| Last flight was what in May, today's flight was Code 1 and no "hip pocket" write up's, pretty impressive I say. |

| In my opinion there was way to much hype about the AA-1 not flying for 7 month. The aircraft is at an early status of its development and flight test schedule and I'm sure it won't be the last problem causing delays. The real problems are the cost overruns and of course the tightly packed schedule for entering service is a bit unrealistic at all. |

Well, to sum it up, the delays were due to...
(1) 270V Electrical system [June thru Aug]
(2) F135 engine thrid stage turbine blade concerns [Aug thru Nov] |

Just hope no more surprises in flight like the last flight out where the computers had some shut downs of systems and lucky Beasley made it back with his nerves intact to start the next phase of flights! |

If you're referring to Flight 19, Jeff Knowles was the particular hero on that flight. |

Sometimes I wonder what people would have said if the F-15/14/18 would have undergone the bombardment of the internet age. |
