Here are some more pic's from RF Alaska 08-2. Good shots of all the different schemes together and the Flanker. Several Jets are still at Depot finishing up modifications and paint. Others are waiting to be sent to Depot for their mods and paint.

Nice!

Here's a few more from the exercise. These are the only ones I have edited so far, but I think I shot nearly every jet that was there.

Interesting list. The missing Flogger is 86-0286. However, I doubt if 86-0336 is correct as a Flanker, which has been in CONUS for some time. Could you please check the documents. I have six potential candidates for the 16th aircraft (and possibly a 17th/18th if they show up): 86-0270, 86-0282, 86-0295, 86-0304, 86-0308, and 86-0320.

Regards,

Yup, Joris is right - 86-0336 used to be with the MT ANG from early 2001 and has been recently transferred to the VT ANG in Burlington, VT.

Greetings,

Henrik.

Yeah some of the A/C were reported and i started this list back long before the switch. 336 is a no go (good catch) but ive added two more, thanks for the flogger info i just saw the first pic of it on the eielson website. 282 i believe will be painted as a flanker if it has not already though i havent seen pics. so here is the revised list. again if you see something incorrect post it. Also, be on the lookout for the five that we know and two possible coming to the party late.

Also, they are losing 2(?) of their flanker Ds to Edwards? I wasn't paying real close attention when that was being discussed...too busy making notes Very Happy

Great update. Did this one still wear '80th FS' titles?

We just got the 1st 4 jets here at eielson, The new paint scheme is horrible, its looks as if some one put a can of spray paint to them, Its so bad on 1 of them that we had to move it so the Pacaf commander wont see it when he walks through, Who painted these jets? they should be ashamed of themselves.

Ok,I'm SSgt Kevin Stevens I was one of the people that painted those jets. I don't know if you've ever painted a jet with brand new paint that's never been mixed before, but it's not as easy as it might seem. First foo, you have no idea what the mixing ratio is, then you have no idea how long to wait between coats and lastly, you have no idea what the cure time for the paint is. You can use the T.O. guidelines from the normal paint you use but it's not gonna be the same. So please before you go complaining about this kind of stuff try doing some research first. I'm not trying to be mean here but it ticks me off when someone complains about something and doesn't bother to take the time to see it from the other person's side first.

I'm tracking down F-16C-30 86-0310 coz it's my best friend's birthday (March 10, 1986). It has been previously the 7th Air Force Boss Bird, then a Flogger Aggressor with the 18th Aggressor Squadron, then it was repainted with an unknown scheme http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Air/General-Dynamics-F-16C/1411128/L/ and later became the 11th Air Force boss bird http://www.airfighters.com/photo/29212/M/USA-Air-Force/General-Dynamics-F-16C-Fighting-Falcon/86-0310/.
Can some one light me up about it's unknown scheme paint job that seems to me has colors of Dark Grey, Buff and Khaki. Confused
