86-0272 from Nellis had one as recently as last year. |

Again, I learn something new, thanks Scott.
When I was out there over a year and a half ago, didn't see the black radomes. I'll have to see if the Arctic Aggressors can get the black radomes. |

| 87-0378 was seen at Edwards 2 weeks ago by a friend of mine. It is now marked ED in Flanker colors. I've seen a picture, but don't have permission to share it. |

Isn't 87-0366 also destined for ED in blue flanker colours too?

You know … (except for the 174th) I understand loosing units don’t give up their best aircraft!
This may be a foul; I don’t like stepping on other unit’s toes, but 378 “was” absolutely disgusting.
Congratulations, you’re one up on Hill
We got some sweet jets from the 174th!

| Is 378 staying in aggressor colors at edwards then? Or will it be repainted eventually? |

Everybody thinks the paint is cool so it may stay like that for a while … Obviously when the scheduled paint comes up (I think every 5 years) It will change.
Orange and White Clown Jet paint scheme is also up in the air.
Man ... we maintain a stable of some unique Vipers! |

| That's a cool looking paint scheme. But why limit it to the arctic.. I think it would work just as well in a desert environment. |

The problem with a scheme like on the agressors is that it requires more maintenance wize than a "simpler" scheme as the standard Viper scheme is.
Less paint = less cost, shorter service time in the paint barn, less stock of paint etc. etc. |
