Vietnam War MIA Identified
From: The VFW Newsletter at http://www.clientize.com/vfw/vfw-11-2007-all.html

It has been 35 years since USAF pilot, Major John L. Carroll's O-1G Bird Dog aircraft was hit by enemy ground fire and forced to land near Xiangkhoang Province, Laos. After a 14 year investigation into the incident, a witness lead a joint US/Lao People's Democratic Republic/Specialist Republic of Vietnam team to the burial site of Major John Carroll where his remains were excavated and returned to his family for burial with full military honors.

Welcome home Major Carroll.
Salute,
Mike Kopack

I'd like to second those sentiments Mike. Salute

The story has to bring a tear to the eye, doesn't it? I hope Major Carroll may finally rest in peace and his family can rest easy with this final chapter to his life.

We can only hope the rest of the MIAs will come home someday too.

Very glad that they found him, and are bringing him home. Hope they find more soon. Welcome home Sir.
