Okay, someone from work told me a third F-22 squadron was at Elmendorf. I know the 90th and now the 525th are out there but what is the third squadron? Will it get its own complement of Raptors as well?
And...don't get this wrong...but I wish the F-22 was louder on take off. My pictures in the office don't vibrate the same way as when the F-15s launch. Can we make afterburners a mandatory requirement for take-offs?

They might be talking about us Reserve guys(the 477th) but we are not a stand alone unit. We are an associate unit which means we augment the Active Duty guys with men not machines. Maybe in the future once all the Eagles are gone they'll be a third Raptor unit but for now its just the 525th and the 90th. Still more then enough for any Russian or Chinese air force to handle though AMERICA RULES!

Hard to believe you think that...the Raptor's are noticeably louder than the 15's....

The sound the F-22 makes in a mil power take-off is lower than when the Eagles blast off in burner. At least from downtown Anchorage the Raptors seem quieter when taking off.
